When I started my career in Learning and Development almost 30 years ago, at what was Yellow Pages (Yell) , we had 3,000 people and a very large, successful training department. This very much helped hone my skills, especially when I was part of the team that entered and subsequently won 'European Company of the Year'.
Before becoming a freelancer I was as a Global Training Manager for Reed Business, part of Reed Elsevier. Which had approximately 10,000 and 40,000 employees, respectively. The reason I mention this is that I was exposed to the very best Learning and Development, through external and internal providers, I was able to deliver sales training programmes around the world to a wide variety of the businesses owned by Reed Elsevier.
My experience involves the entire training cycle, from Training Needs Analysis and Training Design through to Training Delivery and Evaluation, but also rolling out huge global programmes in multiple countries. I also have extensive experience analysing results nd driving performance in Sales Departments.
As well as delivering a comprehensive programme of Sales and Leadership Training across Organisations, I am also accredited to use a number of profiling tools, ncluding SOCIAL STYLE, Myers-Briggs (MBTI Step II and MBTI Step I), Belbin, Adaptive Mindset, Behavioural EQ, SDI, CPQ, WorkSmart, and am also qualified by the CIPD.
